Fabric bracelet with gold-plated brass element. Length 51.5 cm. Adjustable cord. Made in Italy
The Mizuhiki collection by Lebole Maison stems from the ancient Japanese art of creating decorative knots with washi rice paper cords, once used to seal votive gifts intended for the Emperor. Today, those knots, called musubi, accompany gifts and messages of well-wishing, becoming profound symbols of emotional connection.
In Japanese, musubi means to tie, to intertwine, to connect. In Eastern philosophies, the knot represents the union between body and mind, between matter and emotion. A gesture that tells of important relationships, lasting affections, and significant bonds.
The earrings in the collection enclose two different musubi within symmetrical outer shapes. Each knot has a precise meaning: Hanamusubi, with its ends pointing downwards, is a symbol of well-wishes for simple and happy moments. Katabami, inspired by a wildflower, represents good luck and prosperity. Musubikiri, shaped like a heart, is the indissoluble knot, perfect for expressing strong and lasting bonds. The Infinity knot, with its weave having neither beginning nor end, is a symbol of wisdom and eternal compassion.
A collection that binds meaning and beauty, intertwining millennial symbols with the poetry of Italian craftsmanship.
